"It was clear that this was a show Amy loved and put all of her heart and soul into. Even when cast members had drama or were annoying, I still loved coming to rehearsal because Amy was so great to work with and kept me motivated… I wish I could perform this show again and again."

As a director…
My first priority is to tell the story. No matter the size of the budget, theatre, or cast, the story always comes first. With that philosophy, I tend to be drawn to working on contemporary plays that depict underrepresented lived experiences. Some of my favorite experiences have been: a mid-November 2016 production of The Laramie Project, producing William Peace University’s first sensory-friendly performance, and a collaboratively directed production of Hair in which the traditional director/cast paradigms were shed.
That said, I also always love directing a heartwarming and hummable musical, too!
“I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.”
